Wave power

Wave power is a type of energy made from the ocean. Waves are created when wind blows over the surface of the ocean and makes tiny ripples, or waves. Wave power is a clean, renewable energy source, because it comes from an ocean—something that never runs out. Wave power works by capturing the energy that is created when the waves hit a special type of machine called a wave energy converter. The wave energy converter is like a large doorway in the ocean and it takes the energy from the waves and puts it into electricity. This electricity can then be used to power things like lights, TVs, and computers.
