Mark Kurlansky

Okay, so Mark Kurlansky is a writer who writes books about history and food. He tells stories about things that happened a long, long time ago and how those things are connected to what we eat and drink today.

For example, he wrote a book called "Salt: A World History" where he talks about how important salt has been for people throughout history. A long, long time ago, people would use salt to preserve their food so it wouldn't go bad. They also used it to make their food taste better.

Mark Kurlansky also wrote a book called "Cod: A Biography of the Fish that Changed the World". This book is about how important cod fish has been in history. People used to catch cod fish and sell it to other people who needed it for their food. But then too many people started catching the cod fish and they almost disappeared. This is an example of how things we do can affect the world around us.

So Mark Kurlansky is a really smart writer who tells us interesting stories about history and food!
