Masanobu Fukuoka

Masanobu Fukuoka was a farmer from Japan who was famous for sharing his ideas on how to farm without using many of the machines or chemicals that are common in farming today. He believed in a method he called "natural farming" and said that if we worked more with nature instead of against it, we could create a more sustainable agriculture system. He thought that traditional farming techniques, such as using cover crops, natural fertilizers, and manual labor, were the best way to produce healthy food with less work and less harm to the environment. He also wrote books about his philosophy and even developed his own seed varieties that could thrive without additives or chemicals.
