Mathematical Statistics

Mathematical statistics is a branch of mathematics that deals with collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. It uses mathematics and probability to study how data is distributed and how data changes over time. For example, you might use mathematical statistics to study how the number of people who shop in a store on a certain day changes from week to week, or how the average temperature in a city changes over the course of a year.
