ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Matrix molding

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with Legos before? Well, imagine putting Legos together to build a big shape. But what if you wanted to make a lot of shapes that looked exactly the same? That's where matrix molding comes in!

Matrix molding is like making a mold out of Legos. Instead of Legos, we use a special material that can be shaped and then hardens into a mold. We create the shape we want by pressing it into a flat sheet of the mold material. Then, we put the mold into a machine that squishes it really hard to make sure it is tightly packed.

Next, we take the mold out and pour liquid material into it. This will take the shape of the mold and harden into whatever we want to make. And the best part is, we can use the mold over and over again to make a bunch of identical shapes!

So in summary, think of matrix molding as using a special material to create a mold that we can use to make many copies of the same shape. It's like making a Lego mold for grown-ups!
