Matthew 8
Matthew 8 is a part of a book called the Bible that tells stories about a man named Jesus. In this particular chapter, Jesus does several amazing things that show how powerful he is.
First, he heals a man with a skin condition by touching him. This means that the man feels better and his skin turns healthy again!
Then, he helps a soldier who asks him to heal his servant who is very sick. He says that the soldier has great faith which means he really trusts and believes in Jesus. The soldier's servant is healed just like he asked!
Next, Jesus goes on a boat with his friends and a big storm comes. Everyone is afraid they will drown, but Jesus is able to calm the storm just by talking. This shows that he has the power to control things that are very scary and dangerous.
Later, Jesus meets a man who is very upset because he has many evil spirits inside of him. The evil spirits make the man act very strange and scary. Jesus commands the spirits to leave the man's body, and they do! This means the man is able to be normal again and not scary anymore.
Finally, Jesus heals more people who are sick and hurts in different ways. He even heals a woman who has been bleeding for many years. All of these things show that Jesus is very powerful and can help people in many ways.
