Mediatized Houses

Have you ever watched a TV show where they show a really big and fancy house? Sometimes, those houses belong to famous people or celebrities. When TV shows or magazines show these houses, it's called "mediatized" because they're using media (like TV or magazines) to show the house to lots of people.

People like to see these mediatized houses because they're often different from what most people have in their own homes. They might have a big pool, a fancy kitchen or lots of bedrooms. It's like playing pretend in a really fancy castle or palace.

Occasionally, people who own these houses choose to let TV shows or magazines take pictures or video of their home, so that others can see what their house looks like. It's kind of like a way of sharing their cool house with lots of people.

So, when we hear the phrase "mediatized houses," we're talking about houses that have been shown in the media, like on TV or in magazines, to lots of people who like to look at cool houses.
