Medieval reenactment
Hi there! Medieval reenactment is like playing dress-up, but instead of pretending to be a superhero or a princess, we pretend to be people who lived a long, long time ago in the medieval period (which was about 1,000 to 500 years ago).
When we dress up in medieval clothes (like tunics, dresses, and armor) and go to a reenactment event, we try to act and talk like people did back then. We might set up a little camp where we cook food like they did, and do things like making candles, weaving, or forging swords.
Sometimes we even have battles so we can pretend to fight like knights did in the olden days. But don't worry, we're very careful and safe when we do this! We pretend to hit each other with fake swords, shields, and wooden spears.
Overall, it's like stepping back in time and pretending to be a character in a history book. We can learn a lot about what life was like back then, and have a lot of fun at the same time!
