ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Melā

Melā is like a big fair or carnival that happens every year for many days. Lots of people go there to have fun, buy things, and enjoy different types of music and dance.

Imagine going to a big park where there are tents set up with different things happening inside. In one tent, people are selling delicious food like cotton candy and popcorn. In another tent, you might find people playing games and giving away prizes. And in yet another tent, you might see people dancing to traditional music from different parts of the world.

At a Melā, you can experience all of these things and more! You might see musicians playing instruments that you've never seen before, or people dressed in colorful clothes that are different from what you normally see. There are also lots of stalls where people sell unique crafts and jewelry that you can't find anywhere else.

Melā is a great way to learn about different cultures, try new foods, hear new music and have a lot of fun with your friends and family. So if you ever get the chance to go to a Melā, make sure to take it!
