Mercosur

Mercosur is like a group of really close friends who decided to hang out all the time and help each other out. The friends in this group are mostly countries in South America, like Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela (which left the group in 2016).

When these countries joined up, they made some rules to follow so they could make things easier for each other. For example, they agreed to not charge each other taxes on certain things they traded, so that everyone could get what they need at a good price.

They also agreed to work together to make sure that products made in one country could be sold in all of the other countries in the group without any problems. They want to make sure everyone can do business with each other, without any one country having an unfair advantage.

So, Mercosur is like a big team of South American countries that work together to be the best they can be. They want to help each other out and make sure everyone is happy and successful.
