Mesoamerica

Mesoamerica is a region in the Americas that is home to many different, ancient civilizations. It is located in present-day Mexico and Central America, and in the past, it was home to the Maya, Aztec, and Olmec people. These civilizations built cities, developed new technologies (like the calendar and a written language), and created art and architecture that is still admired today. All of these cultures shared a similar way of life and culture, with customs, beliefs, and traditions that are still around today. Mesoamerica is an important and interesting part of our history and it is important to learn about it!
