Metaethics

Metaethics is a type of philosophy that tries to answer questions about how we decide what is good and bad, or what is right and wrong. Metaethics asks questions about why people think and feel the way they do about morality. It tries to find out if there is an objective set of morals, or if our values are based on our own preferences. Metaethics also looks at how our culture, society, and religion shape our moral beliefs and opinions. Most importantly, metaethics can help us understand why people disagree about moral issues and how we can think about them in a better way.
