ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Microfossil

A microfossil is a teeny, tiny fossil that is too small to see with just your eyes. It is so small that you need a special tool called a microscope to see it. Microfossils can be made of different things like once-living creatures, plants, or even rocks. These little fossils can tell scientists a lot about the past because they give clues about what life was like a long, long time ago. It's like reading a really old book, but instead of words, you're looking at tiny fossils!
