ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Microscope slide

A microscope slide is a flat piece of glass or plastic that looks like a really small tray. It is used to look at tiny things like cells and bugs that are too small to see with the naked eye. A scientist puts the cell or bug onto the slide, then uses a microscope to see it up close. The microscope magnifies the bug or cell so you can see it better than you could with just your eyes.
