Migratory Bird Treaty

Have you ever seen birds flying in a big group, going from one place to another? These are called migratory birds, and they travel really long distances to find food, shelter, and breeding grounds. But sometimes, they face many dangers along the way, such as getting lost or hunted by people.

To keep these birds safe, many countries got together and made a special agreement called the Migratory Bird Treaty. It's like a promise they made to each other to protect these birds and make sure they are not harmed during their journeys.

The Migratory Bird Treaty has many rules that countries need to follow. For example, they can't hunt or kill these birds or destroy their habitats. They also need to work together to monitor the birds' populations and habitats to make sure they are healthy and thriving.

This agreement helps to protect many different types of migratory birds, like ducks, geese, songbirds, and even some hawks and eagles. By working together, countries can ensure that these amazing birds can continue to travel safely and thrive in their natural habitats.
