Milankovitch cycles

Milankovitch cycles are changes to the way the Earth's orbit and tilt around the sun that happen over a very long period of time. Every year, the Earth gets a tiny bit closer or farther away from the sun, and the tilt of the Earth goes up and down. These changes can affect how much heat the Earth gets from the sun, which can cause the climate on Earth to get colder or warmer.
