ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Millennials

Millennials are people who were born between the early 1980s and the mid-1990s. They are sometimes also called "Generation Y".

Millennials grew up in a time when technology was becoming more and more important. They are used to using computers, smartphones, and the internet to do things like communicate with friends, watch videos, and play games. They expect companies and organizations to have a strong online presence, and to be able to access information and services easily and quickly through their devices.

Millennials are also known for valuing experiences over material possessions, and for being interested in travel, food, and other forms of cultural exploration. They often prioritize jobs that offer flexibility, work-life balance, and social impact.

Millennials have also faced economic challenges that are unique to their generation. They entered the workforce during a time of economic recession, which made it harder for them to find and keep jobs. Some have struggled with student loan debt, and many have delayed traditional milestones like buying a home or getting married because of financial concerns.

Overall, millennials are a diverse group of people with unique experiences and perspectives. While they share some common traits and values, it's important not to make assumptions about them based on their age alone.
