ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Minimally intrusive warrantless search

A minimally intrusive warrantless search is when someone (like a police officer) wants to look for something without getting permission first (getting a warrant). They can only do this when it's really important or urgent, like when somebody's life is in danger, or they need to catch someone who's about to commit a crime. However, they can only search for what they think is necessary and can't really tear apart the place or hurt anyone. It's like when Mom or Dad needs to quickly check under your bed for monsters before bedtime, but they can't start tugging on everything and making a big mess in your room. They can only look in the places that might be hiding monsters and quickly move on.
