ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Minimum Age Convention, 1973

The minimum age convention in 1973 is a set of rules that adults from all over the world agreed on to protect children who are under a certain age. These rules say that every country should have laws that make it illegal for children to work and do things that might be dangerous or harmful to them. Instead, these children should be allowed to go to school and learn new things so they can have a better future. The rules also say that children should not be made to do work that is too hard for them or that would harm their health or development. The adults who made these rules want to make sure that every child has a chance to be safe and healthy while they grow up.
