Ministerstyre

Ministerstyre is a BIG word that has something to do with how the government in Denmark works.

So, imagine you are playing with toys and you are the boss. You get to decide what toys you want to play with and how you want to play with them. But then your friend comes over and they want to play too. They also get to pick some toys and how to play with them. Now you have to share and work together to have fun.

The government is kind of like when you play with your friend. There are many people, called politicians, who all have different ideas about how things should be done in the country. But they need to work together and come up with a plan that everyone agrees on. This is called making laws.

Now, ministerstyre is when one politician, called a minister, gets to make all the decisions about what should happen in their area of the government. For example, there might be a minister who is in charge of schools. They get to decide what classes you take and how to teach them.

But, even though the minister gets to make the decisions, they still need to follow the laws that everyone agreed on. If they don't, they can get in trouble just like you would if you didn't share your toys with your friend.

So, that's what ministerstyre is! It's like when one person gets to make the decisions, but they still have to follow the rules.
