Misuse of statistics

Misuse of statistics is when someone takes statistics and uses them in a way that is wrong or misleading. For example, someone might take a survey that was done by a small group of people, and then use it to say something about everyone in the world. That would be a misuse of statistics because the survey didn't have enough people to make a reliable statement about everyone in the world.
