Mixed conductor

A mixed conductor is like a toy that is both black and white at the same time. Just like how the toy has two colors, a mixed conductor is a material that can conduct electricity, but it can also conduct particles called ions. Imagine electricity as little cars driving on the road, and ions as tiny bikes riding on the sidewalk. Normally, materials can only conduct one of these things at a time – either the little cars or the tiny bikes. But a mixed conductor is special because it can conduct both at the same time, kind of like how the black-and-white toy can be both colors at once.
