ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mobile malware

Mobile malware is software created by bad people that is installed on phones without the phone owner's knowledge, to cause problems or do bad things. These bad people want access to your personal information, pictures, contacts, and anything else that's important to you. Mobile malware can also be used to send your contact list an unwanted message, or to make phone calls or send texts without you knowing. It can also slow down your phone, or use up all of your phone's battery power without you knowing. Protecting yourself from mobile malware is important. Make sure to update your phone's operating system regularly and only download apps from reputable sources.
