Modernism

Modernism is an art movement that started in the late 1800s. It was a big reaction to the art styles and ideas of the past, and it pushed people to think differently about how we see the world and create art. Modernism shows how things look and feel differently than traditional art styles. Instead of painting things in a realistic way like artists used to do, modernism focused on abstraction and abstract shapes, which looks totally different from real life. It was also a way to make art more emotionally expressive, so artists might use bright colors and jagged shapes to show different feelings. So modernism is a type of art that tries to express something new, different and creative in a very creative and expressive way.
