ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Moisture

Moisture is like water that is in the air or on things like plants, soil, and even our skin. It comes from things like rain, rivers and even the wetness in our breath when we breathe out. Moisture can feel wet, like when you touch a leaf after it has rained, and it may make things slippery too. Sometimes when there is too much moisture in the air, it can make it feel very hot and very sticky. So, just like we need to drink water to stay hydrated, plants also need water from moisture in order to grow and survive. But we also need to be careful, because too much moisture can cause mold to grow and can make things rot. That's why it's important to keep things dry, especially if they shouldn't be wet, like our toys and clothes.
