ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Money order

Okay kiddo, so a money order is like a special piece of paper that you can use to send money to someone who is far away from you. You can get it from places like the post office or a store that sells them.

When you want to send money to someone, you write their name and the amount of money you want to send on the money order. Then, you give the money order to the person you're sending it to or mail it to them.

It's kind of like sending a letter, but instead of writing words, you're sending money! The person who gets the money order can take it to a bank or a store that cashes them and they can get the money that you sent them.

Money orders are helpful because they are secure, which means they are safe from bad people who might try to steal your money. Plus, they are easier and cheaper than sending actual cash in the mail!
