Monistic idealism is a type of philosophical belief that states that all things in the universe are part of one single, unified reality. This means that everything in the universe is connected, and part of the same “thing”. A simple way to think about this is imagining a big rubber ball – every part of the ball is connected and one single thing, even though it has different parts. This is the same for the universe – every little thing or person is connected to each other and is part of one big creation. Monistic Idealism suggests that the universe is an idea that exists in our minds, and that all the separate parts are an illusion.
