Monodromy theorem

Monodromy theorem is about shapes that don't change no matter how much you mess around with them. It's like if you take a lump of clay and you squeeze it and twist it around, it still looks like the same lump of clay. Monodromy theorem is kind of like that, except it's about maths instead of clay! It means that no matter how you move a certain shape around in a special way it will end up looking the same as it did before you started.
