Moral development is when a child starts to learn right from wrong. It happens over several years as a child grows. When a child is very young, they are learning to do things like not throw temper tantrums, say 'please' and 'thank you', share with other children and not hit other people. As they get older, they start to understand even more complex ideas like why it's important to try to be fair and kind to others, why it's not okay to take something that doesn't belong to them or lie. It's important for adults to help children understand what is right and wrong so they can grow up to be kind and responsible people.
