Morphic word

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with blocks and made words by putting different letters together? Well, some words are special because they can be changed a little and still be the same word! These words are called "morphic words". That means they can change and still stay the same, just like a butterfly can change from a caterpillar but still be a butterfly.

So, let's say we have the word "cat". If we add an "s" to the end and make it "cats", it's still a morphic word because it's just the plural form of "cat". If we change the "c" to an "r" and make it "rat", that's also a morphic word because it's just a slight change from "cat".

But not all words are morphic words. For example, if we had the word "dog" and we changed the "g" to a "p" to make "dop", that's not a morphic word because it doesn't make sense and it's not a real word.

So, in short, morphic words are special words that can change a little and still be the same word, a bit like a chameleon can change to blend in with its surroundings!
