Moscow Peace Treaty

Okay, so back in olden times (specifically 1939), two big countries called Russia and Finland were having a big fight over some land. They were called the Soviet Union and Finland at that time. The big fight is called the Winter War because it was really cold when they were fighting. A lot of people got hurt and the whole thing was really scary.

But then, after a while, they decided they didn't want to fight anymore. So they made a special agreement called the Moscow Peace Treaty. It was like a special paper that they both agreed to sign to stop fighting and make peace.

The Moscow Peace Treaty said that Finland had to give some of its land to Russia. This made a lot of people in Finland really unhappy because they didn't want to give up their land. But they didn't really have a choice, because if they didn't sign the paper, the fighting might have started up again.

So, eventually, they all signed the paper and the fighting stopped. Even though it was sad that Finland had to give up some of its land, it was good that they made peace because nobody else got hurt.
