ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Motion picture

Motion picture is like a really big picture book, but instead of just looking at the pictures, the pictures move and tell a story!

Imagine you are looking at a book where you see a picture of a bird sitting on a branch. But in motion picture, the bird would suddenly start flapping its wings and fly away!

This happens because there are many pictures (called frames) taken very quickly and put together in a sequence. When these pictures are shown one after the other very quickly, it creates the illusion of movement. It's like flipping through the pages of a book very quickly, except the pictures come to life!

Then, people go see this moving picture on a screen, like in a movie theater. And they get to watch a whole story, with characters like a princess or a superhero, moving and talking and doing exciting things, all because of motion picture!
