Motor oil

Okay kiddo, do you know that cars have engines like our bodies have hearts to keep us going? Well, just like our hearts need blood to keep pumping us, engines need motor oil to keep them running too.

Motor oil is a slippery liquid made from chemicals that helps reduce the friction and the wear and tear inside the engine. It gets poured into the engine and moves around, providing a protective layer to keep the metal engine parts from rubbing against each other.

When the engine runs, it generates a lot of heat and friction, which can cause the metal parts to scrape and wear down over time. Motor oil helps reduce this friction by staying between the metal surfaces to prevent them from grinding together.

Motor oil also helps clean the engine by picking up dirt, debris, and contaminants that can accumulate inside it. As it moves through the engine, it picks up these particles and carries them to the oil filter which traps them so that the oil stays clean.

Finally, motor oil helps prevent rust from forming. This is because engines have a lot of metal parts, and metal can rust when it comes into contact with air and moisture. Motor oil forms a barrier between them, preventing rust from forming.

So, just like how we need to keep eating and drinking to keep our bodies healthy and happy, engines need motor oil to keep them running properly!
