Motor vehicle theft

Motor vehicle theft happens when someone takes someone else’s car without permission. It’s like when someone takes your toy without asking, but with cars instead of toys.

Sometimes people steal cars to sell them, drive them for a short time, or use them for a crime. This is not a nice thing to do and is against the law.

To prevent this from happening, people should always lock their cars and not leave the keys inside. It’s also a good idea to park in a safe area and not leave valuables visible in the car.

If someone’s car is stolen, they should call the police right away and give them information about the car, such as the make, model, and license plate number. The police will try to find the car and return it to its owner.
