Okay, imagine you live in a place called Spain. A long time ago, a man named Francisco Franco was in charge of Spain. When he was in charge, he had some sayings that he wanted everybody in the country to remember. These sayings are called mottos.
The first motto was "Una, Grande y Libre," which means "One, Great, and Free." Franco wanted everybody in Spain to work together to make the country great and free. He wanted Spain to be very strong and not controlled by other countries.
The second motto was "España es católica," which means "Spain is Catholic." Franco wanted everybody in Spain to be the same religion. He thought that by having a lot of Catholic people, the country would be more united.
The third motto was "Arriba España," which means "Up Spain." This was a way of saying that they wanted Spain to be on top, to be the best. Franco wanted everybody in Spain to be patriotic and proud of their country.
These mottos were everywhere in Francoist Spain. You could see them on buildings and billboards, and people were taught them in school. Franco wanted everybody in Spain to remember these sayings and follow them.
