Mounted search and rescue

Mounted search and rescue is when people on horses or other animals search for someone who is lost or in danger. It's like when you play hide and seek, but if someone gets really lost or hurt, special people and animals go out and look for them.

These people who go out searching are called rescuers, and they use horses or other animals to help them because they can go places that cars or planes can't. Horses can walk over rough terrain, like mountains or forests, which would be really hard for people to walk on their own.

The rescuers have special tools to help them look for the person who is lost. They might have binoculars to see far away or maps to help them navigate the area. They might also have radios or phones to stay in touch with other rescuers or get help from experts.

When they find the person who is lost, the rescuers know how to help them. They might give them food or water if they've been lost for a long time, or they might help them walk back to safety. Sometimes, they might even have to carry the person on their horse or other animal if they can't walk on their own.

Mounted search and rescue is important because it helps keep people safe when they're in danger. The people and animals who do this are brave and skilled, and they spend a lot of time training so they can be ready to help at a moment's notice.
