A mouth ulcer is a little owie inside your mouth that can be really sore and make it hard to eat or talk. It can look like a small bump or a white spot on your tongue, gums, or the inside of your cheek. Imagine you accidentally bit your tongue really hard or scraped it with something sharp, that's kind of what a mouth ulcer feels like. Sometimes they go away on their own but other times you might need to use some medicine or see a doctor to help it heal faster. You can try to prevent getting mouth ulcers by taking care of your mouth and teeth, like brushing and flossing every day and avoiding spicy or acidic foods that might irritate the tender skin in your mouth.
