Mouthwash

Mouthwash is a special liquid that you put in your mouth and swish around before spitting it out. It can help keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.

When you eat food, tiny pieces can get stuck in your teeth and gums. Bacteria then grow on these pieces of food and make your breath smell not so great. Mouthwash helps get rid of these bacteria and freshen your breath.

Some types of mouthwash also have fluoride in them, which is a special ingredient that helps prevent cavities (tiny holes in your teeth that can hurt). Other types might have peroxide in them, which can help whiten your teeth (make them look a little bit brighter).

It's important to remember that mouthwash doesn't replace brushing your teeth or flossing (using special string to clean between your teeth). But using mouthwash as part of your dental routine can help keep your mouth feeling fresh and clean.
