Muisca numerals

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen numbers before?
Well, the Muisca people, who lived in what is now Colombia a long time ago, also had their own special way of writing numbers. They called these special numbers "Muisca numerals".
Now, instead of using regular numbers that we use every day like 1,2,3... they had their own symbols to represent each number. It's kind of like how when you write the number 7, you make a line going down and across, right? Well the Muisca people had their own symbols like that too.
For example, they used an animal called a jaguar to represent the number 20, and a bundle of sticks called a "knot" to represent the number 1.
So if they wanted to write the number 21, they would use one jaguar symbol (for 20) and one "knot" symbol (for 1).
It's pretty cool, huh? Even though we don't use Muisca numerals today, it's interesting to see how different cultures have their own unique ways of doing things.
