Multitrack recording is a way of recording sound that uses more than one track. Each track is like its own separate recording. When the recordings are played back together the sounds mix together to create one audio recording. When multitracking, you can record one track at a time and then add other tracks on top of it. For example, you could record a guitar on one track, then record vocals on another track and then record drums on a third track. When you play these 3 tracks together, they will mix together and make a full song. Multitracking allows you to create more complex recordings with more flexibility and control over the final result.
