Municipal year

Okay kiddo, a municipal year is just like a school year or a calendar year, but it's for a city or town instead of a school or the whole world. It starts on a specific date, like July 1st, and goes for one year until the next July 1st. During that time, the city or town does important things like making decisions about how to spend money, fixing roads and building new things, and taking care of the community. It's kind of like the city's birthday - every year they celebrate the beginning of a new municipal year!
