ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Murder for hire

Murder for hire is like playing pretend where someone tells you to "take care" of another person and offers to pay you money in exchange for doing it. But instead of just pretending, some grown-ups might actually try to do it in real life, which is very, very bad.

It's against the law to murder someone, which means intentionally hurting them so badly that they die. But some people are so angry, jealous, or scared of someone else that they might want to kill them. And sometimes, they might be willing to pay someone else to do it for them.

This is where murder for hire comes in. It means hiring someone else to kill a person you don't like or want around anymore. It's very dangerous and can hurt a lot of people in the process.

It's important to remember that hurting others is never okay and that if someone ever asks you to hurt or kill someone else, you should tell a grown-up you trust right away.
