Murphy's law

Murphy's Law means that if something bad can happen, it will happen. It's like a rule that says life can be kind of tough! It's actually named after an American Air Force officer named Edward Murphy who accidentally discovered this law in 1949. He was trying to see how well something worked and it didn't work at first. He said "If there's more than one way to do something and one of those ways will end in disaster, then someone will do it that way". That means that if something bad can happen it probably will!
