ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mx (title)

MX stands for Mail Exchange and it’s like a post office for emails. When you want to send an email to someone, you type their email address into your computer or phone. But before your email gets to that person, it has to travel through the internet.

Think of the internet like a big highway with lots of exits. Your email needs to know which exit to take to get to the right person's post office (or email inbox). That's where MX comes in.

MX records are like little signs on the side of this internet highway that tell your email where to go. When you hit "send," your email checks the MX records for the domain name in the recipient's email address. These MX records tell your email which server to deliver the email to and that server is like the post office for that person's email.

So, in simple terms, MX records guide your email to the right inbox.
