Myling

A myling is a monster from Scandinavian folklore. It's said that when a baby dies before being baptized, their soul is unable to rest and they become a myling. Mylings are very sad and lonely because they are unable to be with their families and go to heaven. So, they wander around looking for someone to take care of them or carry them to the grave of their family. Sometimes, they may even attach themselves to a living person and follow them around.

Mylings are not mean or evil, but they can be scary because they are often depicted as small, ghostly children with a lot of sadness and longing in their eyes. Some legends say that if you encounter a myling, you should offer them a ride on your back or in a wagon to the nearest church graveyard, where they can finally rest in peace. But beware, if you refuse to help a myling, they may become angry and haunt you.

Overall, a myling is a ghostly creature from Scandinavian folklore that represents the sadness of children who died before being baptized. They wander around looking for someone to help them find peace, and it's important to be kind and compassionate if you encounter one.
