ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

N-connected space

A n-connected space is like a big playground with lots of different areas to play in. The word "n" just tells you how many different areas there are that you can get to from any starting point without leaving the playground.

If the playground is 1-connected, that means you can get to any other area by just walking from where you start without having to jump over or go around any big barriers.

If the playground is 2-connected, that means you might have to go over a big slide or through a tunnel to get to some areas, but you still won't have to leave the playground.

If the playground is 3-connected, there might be some areas you can only get to by climbing over a really high wall or taking a very long way around, but you still won't have to leave the playground.

The higher the number, the more complicated it gets to navigate around the playground, but you still won't have to leave to get to any of the areas. It's kind of like a big puzzle that grown-ups use to figure things out.
