Nailbed assessment is when a doctor or nurse looks at the part of your finger under your fingernail. This can help a doctor tell if something is wrong with your body. For example, if a doctor sees changes in color of your nailbed, they can tell if you are not getting enough oxygen in your blood. This helps them know if you need more tests or treatments to help you feel better.
