ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nanawatai

Nanawatai is a big long word that means helping somebody who is in trouble or in danger. Let's say your friend was playing outside and fell down and scraped their knee. You saw that your friend was hurt and went to help them. That is nanawatai!

It's like when you see someone who needs help and you go to help them without being asked. This is a very nice thing to do and it can make people feel safe and happy.

So remember, when you see someone who needs help or is in trouble, you can show nanawatai by going to help them and making sure they are okay.
