ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Nanofluid

Okay, so imagine you have a glass of water. And then imagine really, really tiny little balls, like super tiny balls. These are called nanoparticles. And they're so tiny that you can't even see them with your eyes.

Now, imagine that you take those tiny nanoparticles and mix them into the water. That's what we call a nanofluid. So it's like water with really, really small balls in it.

The reason people like to use nanofluids is because those tiny little balls actually make the fluid they're in better at conducting heat than regular fluids. So if you wanted to cool something down or keep it from getting too hot, you could use a nanofluid instead of just plain water or oil.

So, in short, a nanofluid is just a super small ball mixed into a fluid to make it better at conducting heat.
