National Charkha Museum

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes we wear clothes made from cotton? Did you know that cotton comes from a plant? Well, a charkha is a special tool that helps people turn cotton into thread which can be used to make clothes.

The National Charkha Museum is a special place in India that shows how charkhas were used in the past to make cloth. It has many different types of charkhas, some of which are really big!

The museum also teaches us about a special man named Mahatma Gandhi. He was a great leader who wanted people to make their own clothes and not buy them from other places. He thought that if people made their own clothes, they wouldn't have to spend so much money and could be more self-sufficient.

Gandhi used a charkha a lot and even called it the "symbol of hope for the masses". The National Charkha Museum helps us to learn about his life and work for India's independence.

So, in short, the National Charkha Museum is a special place where we can learn about how charkhas were used in the past and how they are important to Indian history, especially during the time of Gandhi.
